My work moves through speculative hard science fiction, philosophy, and lived observation. It’s grounded in realism and research but written with the urgency of witness—part documentation, part interrogation. I’m drawn to the thresholds between survival and collapse, freedom and control, meaning and absurdity. The language is deliberate: lean, unsentimental, and often lyrical, shaped by a refusal to look away.
Whether in fiction, essays, or philosophical dispatches, these writings explore the fractures of our time—power, memory, and what it means to stay human when the familiar world begins to fall apart.
Philosophy
I've been developing The Raindrop and the Flood, a secular ethical framework I call Raindrop Ethics, to explore a question that has occupied humanity for centuries: How should we live in a world where suffering is inevitable, justice is uncertain, and no outside rescue is guaranteed?
Drawing upon philosophy, history, human behavior, and the consequences of trauma, the framework examines dignity, compassion, responsibility, and the ways individuals and institutions can either perpetuate harm or help prevent it. At its heart is a simple conviction: Every person possesses an inherent dignity that cannot be earned, diminished, or forfeited.
I've prepared an accessible introduction for readers who are curious about the framework but may not have a background in philosophy. It explains the central ideas, the questions they raise, and the principles that guide the larger work. I invite you to read it, consider its arguments, and challenge its conclusions.
